People with disabilities are greatly underutilized in the American workforce. According to the National Organization on Disability, only 32 percent of our disabled citizens are employed, but almost half of those remaining unemployed want to work. How can we tap into this neglected resource? Is it possible for people with disabilities to become proud and productive taxpayers instead of welfare recipients? Reliability for Hire is a way to help these folks find a job.

 

Reliability for Hire is a free website that promotes hiring America's "unemployables" - people with disabilities. Our manufacturing company has been so successful hiring "unemployable" people that we were happy to fund this no-charge hiring website as a gift to America and American small business.

 

There is no charge! That's right, free to all concerned. There is never any charge to job seekers or employers!

 

In our founder's manufacturing business, older people have turned out to be some of our best employees. We discovered this concept by accident and for years it has worked so well that we want to share our success with small business everywhere.

 

To develop and permanently support these resources required some creative ideas to avoid a costly staff and overhead. First, Reliability for Hire has no employees. Next, we use the existing offices and equipment of our manufacturing company. Further, although these websites were quite expensive to develop, we have designed them to require minimal maintenance and no interaction from a staff. Finally, we have no phone, fax, or email, because job seekers and employers interact directly with each other without our management. As a result, we are proud to say that Reliability for Hire has almost no overhead.

 

Reliability for Hire is a website of America in Recovery, Inc which is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and donations are gratefully accepted. Money received from small business or private donors will be used to further this effort. It is important to note that we accept no government money, or money from any organization that receives government money. Indeed, it is our intent to show that small business can make a difference in our society without government support.

 

This is creative entrepreneurship at its finest, volunteerism seeking to serve, and small business in action.
